TRCF awards 21 students with scholarships

The Three Rivers Community Foundation (TRCF) has awarded scholarships totaling $18,000 to 21 ISD 728 and Minnesota School of Business (Elk River) students from the Elk River, Otsego, Rogers and Zimmerman communities. The following students received $1,000 scholarships:

Elk River High School
Makayla Conrath, Danielle Edwards, Haley Gunderson, Kayla Johnson, Kayla Knopick, Garrett Ott

Rogers High School
Stephanie Gellerman, Carmen Gorecki, Emma Koehn, Lindsay Rother, Andrew Suedbeck, Bryan Jungles

Zimmerman High School
Haley Christenson, Gavin Doppler, Madison Kimbrough

Ivan Sand Community High School
Hannah Gibson

Spectrum High School, a charter school, also received a $1,000 scholarship, which it divided among Brian Prigmore ($500) and Megan Bondy and Jarae Ehr ($250 each).  Rena Hales and Alyse Oban, students at the Minnesota School of Business (Elk River campus), each received $500 scholarships.

The Three Rivers Community Foundation was created in 1990.  The 18-member volunteer Board of Directors oversees grants, scholarships and planned giving, all of which are intended to benefit communities within the ISD 728 geographic border.  Since its inception the TRCF has awarded more than $350,000 in grants and $90,000 in scholarships.

The TRCF is a fund of the Initiative Foundation, a regional community foundation out of Little Falls.
